So, I saw that alot of you were fans of the show, so you can talk about it here!!

I'm seeing SA sometime next week!! I cannot wait. My friend went in March, and she absolutely fell in love with it, so hopefully I'll love it as much as she did!! I think she's a big fan of Lea Michele (? I think that's her name). She talks about her all the time.

I've never seen it, but I've heard so many good things about it. Maybe this summer I'll go see it!

I looooooove    Spring Awakening! Lea Michelle is amazing, I love her voice!!! I saw it in April and it was even more incredible as the OBC sounds! I personally think Remy is an amazing actress, maybe because she is so little and she stands out on stage, but my attention really focused on her when she was on stage. Jon Gallagher Jr. and Jonathan Groff are also....hmm.....like the best boys to ever be on Broadway! And did you guys catch the Tony's? Seriously how cute was Jon's speech? "And truely heaven must feel like this," when he said that my heart basically melted!

Ahhh I am so exited this thread is here.

Oh does anyone know when they release the next batch of tickets? I really want to get onstage seats for sometime next year.

Oh what are onstage seats...like literally onstage?

Yes, they are literally onstage. They are on each of the sides of the stage. Different cast members sit next to some of the seats (mostly ensemble, and amazing ensemble by the way). The show is happening all around these seats! Oh and there only like $31 dollers (or is it $35?). They are sold out now though.

Wow that's sooo cool. I am on the website now...I am going to be a day to go in to the city (I live like a 1/2 hour away from NYC) and see it.
Do you like in NYC?

Do I like NYC? YEAH! haha I love it. Its probably about a 3 1/2 hour drive for me, so its not that bad. I'm lucky because I about 20 mins from Boston...I'm hoping for a SA tour to start soon. I would probably go every weekend it was in Boston.

Hahaha that's cool. I meant to ask do you LIVE in NYC but, obviously it's late and my typing isn't making sense. sorry!

Haha thats ok. I'm pretty sure I've edited every post I've made for stupid spelling errors. I think I even answered that question too! haha

Oh so whats everyones favorite songs?? Mine are deffniatly Purple Summer, Whispering, and B**** of Living.

So far I am loving Purple Summer and one that isn't teen board appropriate.

Haha, jeez I was so oblivious to everything when I first heard the OBC. Then I read the play, well wasn't I surprised!

I would definatly recommend reading the play before seeing the show, it just makes it that much more meaningfull. I got a great deal on a used book on Amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion. Was it a book first or something? Or are you talking about just a copy of the script?

Oh I'm just talking about the script. It's actually pretty cool because the play was banned when it origionally came out. Like the whole concept of the show (well in my opinion) is about how parents and teens really cant/wont/dont want to talk about certain things. And having the play banned, well, it just kind of proves what SA is all about.

Yeah I hear you. I've heard it's a lot like Rent (not the same storyline just similar...views I guess the word would be). Is that true?

I think its similiar to Rent because its contraversial (sp?). Like when Rent came out, talking about Aids was so scandalous (never mind writing an entire musical based around survival). Spring Awakening is kind of taboo (sp?) in that way. Its also got the whole modern music feel that Rent has. Oh and even though this is kind of random, the band sits on stage just like in Rent! (execpt in SA their in the back of the stage, not the side)

All very cool! Now I am so excited! I am totally going to go this month or early August of maybe September and take people for my birthday!

Ok, SA :) Haven't seen it yet (sometime in October, hopefully), but I love the music as you can see from my siggy. The actors and these songs are so powerful, and...it's great. Can't wait to see it! :cool1:

I <3333 Spring Awakening.
I've had the OBCR since January, and had gotten tickets to see it in June. and OMG I am in love. Jon Gallagher and Jonathan Groff just have amazing stage presence. I cried so hard at the end...

And everyone was so sweet at the stage door. I went the wednesday before the Tony Awards, so everyone was buzzing about that. I chatted with Jon Gallagher for about 10 minutes, all about how nervous he was for the Tony's. He was such a sweetheart. :)

I can't wait to see it again, and I realllllly want the onstage seats.

Oh, and my favorite songs are Those You've Known, Totally *bleep*, and Don't Do Sadness.
