Spring 2015 Dapper Day

I'm thinking good thoughts for the Dappers tomorrow. I'm in W. Los Angeles, and so far today (Saturday @ 9:45 AM) we've had bright sun and blue skys, and now some grey. My wife and I are all booked at the Grand CA for the Fall 2015 DapperDay, it will be our first, and are so much looking forward to it. We are even thinking of coming down tomorrow after lunch to visit the DapperDay Expo and then maybe slip into Trader Sam's for a bit. And... maybe dress / dapper up just a little bit too!

Here in CA we've been doing our "rain dance" for a few years now, we are so far behind on rainfall, but if the rain Gods could hold off just one more day for everyone that will be in the park tomorrow...

We're heading down bright and early tomorrow morning! DS & I will change into our dapper duds as soon as we arrive...possibly in a lobby bathroom if we can't get into our room when we get there. Printed out the boarding passes, and everything is all packed except for DS' inhalers - that's always the very last thing to get tossed in the carry-ons.

The rain had me up last night completely re-thinking all our disneybounding outfits for the week. In the end I decided to just go with what's packed and cope. I also tried to reschedule our BB F! package for Wed or Tues, but it's booked solid both days. We'll keep trying, and hope that our F! on Monday doesn't get rained out!!!

It has been pretty sunny but quite windy. I'd be surprised if fireworks don't get cancelled tonight...

Got cold around 5ish and Rained briefly during the time it took for a ride under the sea with Ariel.

The two oldest and I got a thorough soaking tonight even with hooded jackets from the walk from mansion to the grand. It looks like the weather will be largely fine until 3pm tomorrow

So my wife and I did end up doing a spur of the moment trip down to visit the expo at the Grand Californian and after spent some time at Trader Sam’s Tiki Bar at the DL Hotel. And… we did “Dapper Up” for it. Even though we weren’t in the park, we had a great time. We chatted with other “Dappers” and got some ideas for our official Dapper Day this fall. My wife had me goofing around on the Grand CA House Phone, suggesting that I get us a room, and park tickets so we could continue the fun! Great time at Trader Sam’s taking all things Disney with others. It did rain on and off a bit, but by the time we where leaving (6pm), the skies were fairly clear, so I hope the “Dappers” in the park had a great night – though I know it was cold out, but maybe an excuse to dress in some fun warm clothing?

Hoping to see pix from those that where in the park here and around the web start popping up today.

What a fun weekend! It was great seeing everyone all dappered up yesterday. Such a creative group of beautiful people and kind enough to ignore my wild children doing laps.

The person I bought my dd's dress from finished it today, I am in looooooove!!

I think you guys were a few people in front of us for photo at the Walt statue in DCA on Sunday afternoon! The dress looked cute in person, too! Thanks also for your advice about the stroller cover (on another thread) - it came in very handy and kept my littlest one dry!

You guys look great! I wish we could have made our meet up, but we went to the Disneybound meet up at the same time. We had such a great trip. I cried when the bell hop came to get our bags this morning.
