Which rooms are better, the smaller or bigger? I would assume that less people in one place would be better XD

I've stayed in both a 2BR and a 3BR. I definitely prefer the 3BR apartment. For one thing, it was cheaper. And for another, it wasn't too crowded that everyone didn't have enough space. Plus, in both 3BR I stayed in, all 3 BR had their own bath.

So... if the roommate that they assign me to arrives before me and chooses a 3 bedroom even though I want a one bedroom, am a forced to stay in a 3 bedroom? Also, which apartments does every suggests?

No. But you wouldn't be living with the roomie you picked.

I prefer the 3BR (I have also stayed in a 2BR as well).

has anybody been able to sign up for roomie notification? I was told by someone in housing that it wouldn't be available until November for spring CPs. Is that still the case?

Thanks for the help, that sounds like a better option.

You're welcome. :)

I mean, it is personal preference. But I just feel more comfortable in the 3BRs.

I didn't realize that 3BRs were cheaper so that's probably the route i'll go, plus the extra bathroom would be great.

I have an interview tomorrow :yay:
oh gosh I'm really nervous! Any good advice for the interview? What kinds of questions do they ask?

I tried to sign up for it this morning and it still wasn't working, so that seems to be the case.

Wahoo! Don't be nervous, really! I know that doesn't make you any less nervous but I promise once the interview starts you'll start to calm down. This is a weird tip but I smiled the whole time and it made my voice sound happy and enthusiastic. As long as you just take your time and make it clear that you want to be there than I think you'll be okay. The questions they ask relate to the roles you picked so if you wanted to be in merchandise they would ask you something along the lines of "what would you tell a guest if you did not have the item they wanted?". Or if you want attractions you'll most likely get "what would you tell a guest that was too short to ride the attraction?". They could ask you about other things like apartment life but that really depends; I didn't get asked about roommates.

They'll probably ask why you want to do the program and why you chose the roles you did. Just be honest and polite and you'll do fine. Good luck! Here's some pixie dust for you pixiedust:

Ooo, good luck! You'll be great! Just remember:
*Make sure you keep on smiling (they can tell, even over the phone).
*Be honest with your answers
*Don't be nervous. The recruiters are really nice. If you do get nervous, just pretend you're talking with a friend.

The questions they ask range from personal questions (why do you want to do the CP?) to questions about the roles you picked.

Can't wait to hear how it goes.:)

thanks! I'll let you know. You really are very helpful, Joanna. :)

Are there going to be questions like "what would you say to a child who is in line for Space Mountain, but too short to ride?"
These are the questions that I'm nervous about, because I don't know if Disney has an actual protocol for these situations. I would hate to say "I'm sorry but you're not tall enough to ride" and it be absolutely the wrong thing because Disney doesn't want you to say to a child "you aren't tall enough" and you're never supposed to say you're sorry because that puts blame on yourself.
I'm probably thinking about this too much, but when I worked at the Disney Store they had a protocol for handling challenging situations (things you couldn't say, specific phrasing, and certain recovery actions) And if they weren't followed it meant corrective action for the CM

Yes there is. I got that question my first time around, in fact (it's actually nicknamed the famous "Space Mountain" question;) ). It's pretty easy to answer. I said I would tell the kid about other great rides that they can go on.

Hey Joanna, I have another question (I seem to ask a lot even after doing the program, lol. I apologize). When you did the summer alumni program, what roles were offered? I was just curious if they ever offer that program again.

For 2007 and 2008, they only offered 3 roles (QSFB, custodial, and lifeguard). They haven't offered a full summer alumni program since 2006.

Thanks for the info, and I totally realized I posted this in the wrong thread, haha . Thanks for the answer!
