I am sure this has been asked before I just can't seem to find it. My question is if I stay at Disney for 10 days can I purchase 5 days of dinning and just spread the credits over the 10 days?

Dining plans are for length of stay only and expire on midnight the day of check-out. If you stay for 9 nights, then you have to buy 9 nights of the same dining plan for everyone in the room.

The only way to do this is to get a separate package and/or room reservation for the nights you want the DDP. You also must get it for every person staying in the room, even if they only stay part of the time.

You must buy a dining plan for each night of a stay. Partial dining plans are not sold. And if you book two separate reservations you cannot "spread" the dining plan over all of both reservations, as credits from the first stay will expire at midnight after you check out of the first resort. The best you could do is use up your credits from the first stay, on the first day of your second stay. After that you will have no credits remaining for the rest of the second stay, unless you purchased another dining plan with the second stay.

I sometimes do split stays, and one of the advantages is booking the dining plan only for the first half of the stay (esp if deluxe dining), so if I have 3 nights of dining, I have 4 whole days to use the credits. Then any left over snack credits can be used to purchase fruit cups and other snacks, to keep in the fridge in our 2nd room.

Also, after 4 days of deluxe dining, I'm so stuffed that I eat minimally the rest of the time I'm there anyway! LOL!!!
