Spoodles Review -new menu- delicious!

We are currently in Disney and last night we ate at Spoodles. We haven't dined here since last February and there are new items on their menu since then. We ordered the calamari-probably the best calamari I have had (and I have tried calamari many places). What was nice about the calamari was that it was lightly battered and placed on a bed of crushed tomatoes, olives, and pepperocini-delicious! DH and I both had the pork chops with homemade gnocchi, mushrooms, and spinach in a red wine reduction. It was perfection. We shared the usual pitcher of sangria, still good, and noticed that the sangria had lots of fresh fruit floating in it, yum! We did not have room for dessert.
We also liked that they did not rush us out of the restaurant. We had time to enjoy our sangria and take in the atmosphere.
Also to note, we ate at Kimonos our first night and we agreed it is the best place for sushi. We also enjoyed their tempura.

We have an ADR at Spoodles for our trip in May. We haven't been there for dinner in a few years (we usually have breakfast there). I am glad to hear you enjoyed your meal. I was a little worried about making an ADR there since there have been so many mixed reviews in the past year or so. I'm glad there is a new menu and I'm now looking forward to dining there.

We were there in January and it was fantastic.

DH had the panzanella salad and the squash ravioli - both were amazing. I had the beef and blue cheese flatbread and the lemon shrimp pasta and loved both.

Glad to hear more good things about one of our faves, Spoodles! Their mussel appetizer was the best mussels we have ever had anywhere and the shrimp pasta dish is incredible. Of course the Sangria is the main reason we go.....

We tried it for the first time 10 days ago and it is on my list for our next visit again!! Such yummy food and the previously mentioned Sangria was SO good, even Mickey liked it!

I am so happy to hear about a menu improvement at Spoodles!

DH and I have not been to Spoodles for about a year and a half. The last time there, the menu was very drab and had nothing Mediterranean about it. It was the same "cookie cutter" menu as a lot of the other restaurants went to a while back. Also, menu scale backs are very common during free dining. Unfortunately, that's when we were there. Needless to say I was very disappointed in our meal. I vowed to never visit again during free dining.

But now we may want to add this one back on the list. Thanks for the review.
