I don't really have a question, just wanted to share my excitement. My sister and I just booked a last-minute trip...we leave in 9 days!! :cheer2: I've done solo trips for the past several years, and while I absolutely LOVE going solo (so much so, I booked a solo cruise! Don't be afraid to do anything solo, it ROCKS!) I do really miss sharing my magical moments with my sis. princess:princess:

Any last-minute planning tips from those of you who have done a spontaneous trip? I'm used to having a MUCH longer planning window

You have lots of time to plan, my last minute bookings are:
DW and I several times have been at DTD for the day and decided we wanted to stay the night. Called the resorts directly (back before MS was open on Sundays) or MS and checked in within 15 minutes.
At MK for the day in Feb ’14 for our anniversary, called MS @09:00, and booked a room at BLT for that night. Checked-in @11:00 and the room was ready. We did not plan on this day going like this until @05:00 while still in bed.

As for last minute trips and what to do. Plan on doing very little and adept an attitude of go-with-the-flow. You will find it much more relaxed and you can "see" some things you usually miss.

ADR Hoarders cancel next day reservations to not get charged and I've found some amazing adr's near midnight the day before. I think the official cancel time is around 7pm so start looking if you want table service the next day about 7 on the app. Also there is a chance to just walk into a table service place so before you jump to quick service, try to do a walk in. Sometimes tell them your willing to wait if something might open shortly.

That's the plan; we're going to ride our favorites and then just hang out and relax the rest of the time!

Great advice, thanks! I was able to get a few ADRs, even a couple for BOG, but I was hoping to grab an Akershus breakfast, and a few others. Will definitely try this!

How awesome!! I'm doing a sister trip also in 20 days can't wait! We haven't gone just us in so many years, we're looking forward to just taking it easy and doing a lot of things we usually miss. Have a great trip!! :flower:
