Hi all, my fabulous dh decided to throw a quick trip to the world at us (airfare was rock bottom cheap) in August. We already have an Aug. 2013 trip to the Poly planned (was supposed to be this August, but we have a family destination wedding to attend, so we decided to postpone the Poly trip.)

We've stayed at the Poly (our FAVE by far, but not worth it for a 5 day trip and we're stayin there next year), POR Riverside, and CSR. POR Riverside has been our favorite Mod. We're trying to decide on POR Riverside or trying out CBR.

Can anyone who's stayed at CBR send some Pros/Cons my way?

TIA!

Personally I would go for POR. I didn't care for CBR at all. It's a big resort, like POR, but the layout is very awkward and confusing. The pool is better at CBR, but POR has a nice pool. POR has an amazing food court, Yeehaa Bob, the boat to DTD and Queen beds. That alone would sell me. That's my opinion.

:rotfl:Hello ~ CBR has been our "home" resort since we've been going to WDW and we've never had a problem here. Check in has always been quick and they've usually always honored our requests for a 2nd floor room. We have stayed in almost all of the sections, but Martineque is our favorite. The food court has many options for families but does get crowded during the peak dinner hour. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. Their renovated pirate rooms are great and each section has its own pool too. Buses are always running and we never have to wait too long to leave the resort. The place is huge so if you are staying in a section that is far from the food court area, it can be a walk. Outside of that it is our favorite. We are actually going to be staying at POR for the first time this summer (we wanted to give another moderate a try). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies - keep 'em coming! I would like to try CBR just to try another mod, but we do love POR. I appreciate all the feedback!

I haven't stayed at POR, but have stated at FQ and CBR. As a family, we loved POFQ. As a couple we loved CBR. The best part for me at CBR is the choice of pools. If you want all of the hubbub and noise, you can go to the main pool. If you just want a quiet swim, go to one of the "quiet pools" for relaxation and, well, quiet! The food court at CBR was usually bustling, but we never had to wait too long at any one station. Also, Shutters (thier table service restaurant) was easy to get into whenever we were not in the mood for quick service food court type foods. We stayed in a Nemo Room which had recently been renovated. In my opinion, CBR is the better choice. Just my 2 cents :)

Depends what's more important to you in a resort. I like the feel of CBR and their pool but
for us the food and beds are way better at POR so that would be my choice!

Personally have enjoyed both...but what's not to enjoy when your in Disney. However, we would prefer POR. The layout of the buildings were easier to get around. The beds were bigger(queens vs doubles). Lastly the food court area was nicer. As far as the pools go...I agree that CB has the better theme pool, but POR is just fine. We spent more time at the quiet pools near our room than the loud, busy pool anyway. Good luck on your decision, I don't think you will go wrong with either choice.
