Spontaneous Disney trip!

Congratulations! And don't give up on getting PS's, if you want to make some. We are also going to be at WDW Feb 12-18 and we just booked our trip 5 days ago. I called the next day and got almost all the reservations I wanted, including dinner on Valentines Day and a trip to the Neverland Club for our three children. The only place I couldn't get into was Chef Mickey's, but I'm going to keep trying and hope we get lucky and someone cancels.

My sister was looking at her supervisor's pictures from Disney World one Tuesday afternoon and she called me and said she really wanted to go. So, naturally, the following Thursday morning (2 days later) we're jumping in the car and heading to Lake Buena Vista.

One great thing was we surprised my DD with the trip. I woke her up and she started getting ready for school. She is sitting there with her school uniform in her hand preparing to head into the bathroom and I tell her... "No, no, no, missy. You aren't going to school today. We're going to Disney " World." She didn't believe us until she saw the suitcases sitting by the door. The look on her face was priceless.

I did the same thing!!! We are booked 2/13 - 2/17! Just a quickie - but it will hold me until summer!!

Hope it isn't crowded and we have decent weather!!

I love booking the last minute trips - They are the most exciting.

Count me in as one of the last minute people going the 13-18!! Booked just yesterday morning! I was really suprised at how booked up all the resorts are then but at least I am going to finally get my wish of a quick getaway! This is going to be either a solo trip (never done one) or my mom might tag along with me.

I bow to you all - I found cheap airfare & AP rates for a quickie solo trip - but then I recalled that pesky New Years Resolution to get completely debt free by summer & had to pass......This summer, however, will be a whole 'nother story!

Oh go and just enjoy yourselves...We did actually two quickie trips last year. One my DH had a confernce in Northern Florida and I went with him, took off last day of conference and went to WDW for the weekend. In May last year we got to discussing how much absolute fun that quick weekend we had there was, and DH says think we could swing going again soon (that was sunday), next saturday we were on the road to FLA again....
