Splitting points?

Does anyone know if it is possible to split the points on a resale between two existing DVC members? When I bought in 2001 at VWL, our good friends bought at the same time ( April use). We have vacationed together for the last twelve years. I have placed a bid on additional points for more vacation time, but would like to share with our friends. Any experience out there?

I think you would all have to be on the same contract, and your friends would be associate mebers who have the ability to make reservations....i think???

You'd have to work out an arrangement because when you buy a resale, it is one sale and cannot be split. If you buy from Disney, you can specify the exact number of points. But if you buy resale, you buy the entire lot as one contract.

You cannot split up a contract. If you by chance find a contract that is combined with add on's, it can be split but you'd be looking at two closings. You could buy a larger contract and deed your's to them if the points worked out. You could let them use or rent part of your contract. You could also transfer points to them if you wished. Remember that to combine the contracts, they must be listed exactly the same with all owners the same.
