Splitting DDP- using table credits and cash?

it is possible to split the use of these for a family? For example, if we do an Ohana character breakfast can I use two DDP kids table credits and pay cash for the two adults? Later in the day we have a BOG dinner where I'd want to use two adult DDP table credits and pay cash for two kids. Would Disney allow this? It would be more cost effective for our family to go this route. Thanks for the insights!
