Splitting a party of 8 up for reservations

I have quite a few reservations (1900 Park Fare, Sci Fi, mama Melrose F!, and plaza) all split in to two tables of 4. When I booked, I just put my dh's name on the first res and mine on the 2nd.

I have been booking so late in the game that a party if 8 is too big for some availability.

Has anyone successfully done this for their visit?

We've done this several times. For some reason, we never seem to book outside of the 180 day mark. We have a party of 9 and usually do a 4/5 split booking. Most of the time we are sat together, as long as the times are not far apart. However, they do not guarantee this. But, we have not had any problems, and the times we were split, they gave us tables right next to each other, so that was not a problem!

You can do it, just be aware there is no guarantee you will sit together, or even near each other.

I tried to break up a party of 7 into a 4 and a 3 and after doing the 4, it said I already had a reservation and had to cancel to continue. How do you get it to book 2 reservations at the same time?

You can either call and ask them to do it (though, depending on the CM you get, they sometimes claim they can't)
Or, what I do, and you can only do this on the computer and not the app, is put the first reservation under someone else in your party's name (the person in charge of the reservation) and put the 2nd under you. Use the same email for both in case you have to cancel.

How can I get it to even get far enough to put in the second name?
I put the first one under my name and was going to do the second under DH's, but it wouldn't even go to any info for the second one.

Cancel whatever you have, put the first one under DH and 2nd under yours. On ur computer though! App doesn't ask for contact info

And it worked!! I have 2 reservations for the same time. Hopefully find out about TiW before then, but if not, I guess I will find out then.

I have never traveled with this many people.....usually just 2 of us.
And every one is going in all directions, so it is unusual to have all 7 going the same places.
I need to check and see how many places I am not going to. It might be economical to buy DH an add-on TiW card.
