Splitting a meal at Teppan Edo

My roommate and I will have one left over TS credit because we plan on splitting a pizza at Via Napoli. Is it possible to split a meal at Teppan Edo and just use the one TS credit for it?

I've been reading that they do not allow those on the dining plan to split meals and each person must use a credit. Just something to think about!

Yes. They're very strict about this at Via Napoli. Teppan Edo isn't as strict thou. I've seen people split means there. Honestly i can't see how you'd split it at teppan because the portions aren't large enough. I always found it amusing watching ppl share here.

Good to know about the portion size. I'm glad I asked here before making these plans. I didn't think this one through at all.

This is accurate. They used to allow two adults to use one credit each and split a large pizza but not anymore.

It might be wise to split a pizza at Via Napoli and pay OOP since the prices are fairly reasonable for Disney. Then each of you can use a credit at Teppan Edo (which is quite pricey! )

They were very clear with us. As a party of 4, we needed to use 4 TS credits. You can NOT share for less credits.
I agree, I think sharing at Teppan Edo is not enough food.

They seem to vary on their policy. You definitely have to use one credit per person, but sometimes they will let two people split a large and sometimes they won't. I've had both experiences. I think it's because a large is meant to feed 2-3 people whereas an individual pizza is enough for one only.

I agree with the PP's - Teppan Edo is not the place to share. I had the scallops last time and got 5...and they are not big. 2.5 scallops isn't going to fill anyone over the age of 3.

We split 2 TS credits between 2 adults and 2 kids. I was very worried about this split because everyone said portions were small. We left very full. Mind you, we had gorged at lunchtime and were not too hugely hungry when we showed up at Teppan Edo 7 hrs later.

DH and I split the swordfish meal (not a very hearty meal) while the kids split a filet mignon. The chef was very good at splitting up the portions and plating our shared meals for us. There is a fair amount of sides and unlimited white rice (our server brought us an extra bowl of rice).

I was planning to stop at a CS before leaving the park to "top up". We definitely didn't need it. We were stuffed when we rolled out. In perspective, I ate most of an entire filet mignon at LC for lunch and DH ate most of LC's gigantic House Burger.
