Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

Just got back from a week at Aulani! We stayed in a grand villa on the top floor of Ewa tower since alternative was a low floor in Waianae tower. No regrets! Great view all week and the sun was hardly an issue (especially due to rough weather from the Kona low). No whales though. Next time!

I love that you have a positive post given the weather while you were there. The top floor! Amazing!

Are the Waianae grand villas considered a better location than Ewa?

We've done both and it really doesn't matter. The Waianae tower is a bit shorter walk and is more handy to the parking garage. But it's really not a huge difference.

I went to a DVC member update in Waianae in their grand villa they use at the 2nd to highest floor. I think the view is similarly great to top floor on Ewa tower where I was staying. Overall, I would stay in either tower in a high floor!

Hello all! Wondering how difficult Aulani might be to book at 7 months over spring break (time varies but often late March; sometimes it is the week before Easter), and how crazy it feels then. Just some long term trip planning! Thinking 2 bedrooms; ideally not ocean view due to the point cost.

My guess is that it may depend on how close your spring break is to the majority of West Coast school districts… we are in the LA area and almost always have the week immediately before Easter so I’m guessing that would be much harder than the years spring break does not fall close to Easter. I’ve never tried spring break, but I have been able to get in one/two bedroom island view after Christmas and over New Year’s with SAP, which I presume has to be about as difficult… but I think I walked to get it.

Great point! I do think local schools often stagger from west coast vacation dates. I’ll make sure to check those first though.

I booked for third week of March this year at 7 months on the dot. 2BR and all that was available was OV. That’s what I wanted so I didn’t try to waitlist.

It was very busy but not crazy. But it was also stormy which, according to CMs, kept a lot of locals at home.
