I have a younger son (pre-teen) who loves pool. We are planning on going to Splitsville to use the pool tables. I have read that they are $9 per hour per table. Are they in a kid-accessible area (read that as NOT in the bar section)?

Thanks!

We bowled and ate there 2 nights ago. They seated us upstairs and there were a few pool tables up there as well, right near what appeared to be a bar area. My boys are young so we didn't venture over to that side up close. They might have more pool tables downstairs. I know it's not definitive, but hopefully it helps :goodvibes

Hmmm...were the pool tables accessible to your kids had they ventured over? Or was it more of a "closed to anyone 21 and under" kind of bar?

Sorry just getting back on! My kids could have wandered over there easily, although we were there on a Sun evening at about 6pm and it wasn't busy at all. If I remember correctly, only 1 pool table was being used. I hate to say it, but our experience there was not a very positive one :/

ACK! That doesn't sound good. What happened?

The bowling part was great fun, a bit expensive though. $20 per person to bowl, you get an hour and 45 mins, that price is for everyone regardless of age.

Our problems were with our server, we decided to eat & bowl. My husband had to hunt him down initially to place our drink order, then to order food, then the server forgot to put in 3 of the food orders. We never once got a refill, and my hubby had to find the server again to bring the checks and to take the checks. We saw 5-6 of the waitstaff just socializing at the bar area, never any sign of a manager. And the party of bowlers next to us had the same issues, I saw them hunting down a server multiple times. So it was the service that was the problem, the facility itself is awesome! One of our party members has been a server for years and she commented that her management is always involved and those things wouldn't be allowed to happen, so hopefully that part will be improved.

If we return we'll just bowl and eat somewhere else beforehand. For my family of four we spent $80 to bowl and $80 on food, but our experience was not worth $160.

I just can't seem to justify $80 for an hour of bowling in my head so we are just going to play pool! :thumbsup2 We also won't be eating there so I think we are all clear!

I def don't see us doing it again either! If not for the other group of friends we were meeting we would have skipped out too. You guys will have a blast I'm sure!!!! Maybe we'll just try the pool next time as well :)
