I've been able to find very little information on this event. I believe it's held every Wednesday? We already have a reservation for dining there on a Wednesday, and I'm trying to decide whether it's worth it to reserve the event or to just bowl and eat on our own. Anyone have experience with this?

I did; read the whole thing. But as is my usual experience with Disney's website, it's not all that descriptive. I was looking for first-hand experiences.

My family did it a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed it! You each get a cute pair of DVC socks. Dinner was quite delicious, and our party of eight (ranging in age from 8 to 68) had a blast bowling. It was a fun, goofy, relaxing night.

Thank you for that! Do you think it's worth doing versus just having dinner and reserving a lane?

Compare the costs. Often these events don't save DVC owners money, they actually cost more.

You're right about that, but I guess what I was asking is whether the event itself was fun enough to make the experience worthwhile.

It's bowling with food. I wouldn't do it while on an expensive WDW vacation, I can do it at home, but that's just me.

We have been to Spiltsville twice on our own. Both times on our last day we have lunch and bowl there. We then do some last minute shopping before heading o the airport. I always make our return flight as late as possible.

My DH and sons really enjoy Spiltsville. It’s fun and the food is always good.

I definitely felt like it was worth the cost. The quality of the food and of the entertainment was much higher than that found at a "typical" bowling alley. Everyone in our party agreed it was one of the best things we did.

How did the DVC price compare to doing it out of pocket?

Our son in law, daughter, and grandson are bowlers (leagues, national tournaments, the whole bit). We are not; can barely get the ball down the lane. We reserved the Splittsville member experience with them as our special event with their family (on large extended family trips we try to do something unique with each family). We really enjoyed the food, the little "competitions" and interaction with other DVC folks in the next lane, and the bowling too. The souvenirs made it really special too (socks, etc.). It was definitely worth it for us!

When we did it 3 years ago the meal was an appetizer, main and adult beverage. I can’t remember if dessert was included? The cost was less than ordering separately. We wouldn’t have done it if it cost more! They tie balloons on the lane, you get three games-my 5 year old grandson was allowed to pick a souvenir from the gift shop. We really enjoyed the evening-we were there 10 nights, so it was a nice change of pace from touring.

We have this booked for December. Always thought about doing it but now that we will have extended family staying with is (9 total) we thought this would be a great day off activity. I like the fact that it is prepaid and everything is included and you don't have to worry about a lane reservation.
