We are staying at CBR for one night then moving to BW. Will Disney transport us to BW or wil we need to get a taxi? Never done a split stay before and when I booked it the cast member didn't say anything and I forgot to ask about it.

You would have to take Disney transportation if you want to use it. Best bet is to take a taxi or uber.

We end up splitting our stays often as family joins us/leaves us we need different size rooms.

Disney doesn't transfer "people" and you can't take luggage on the bus but bell services will transfer your bags to the new resort for you.

We let bell services transfer our bags, head to a park for the day and then check into the new resort after check in time. Done it many times and for the cost of a tip - (at both ends!) we find it very convenient.
This works well for us and since the room at the new resort most likely won't be ready in the am, you would have to store your bags at the new resort (and tip) anyway.

On Disney transportation, you will need to bus to a park from CBR, then bus from the park to BW. There is no direct transfer for you, as a human.

Yes - They can leave the bags with bell services to be delivered to the BW, go to the park of choice for the day (I would do HS or Epcot due to the proximity to the BW). Then head to BW, check in and grab the bags from bell services or have them delivered to the room. Easy Peasy

Right. The bags can direct transfer. people, less so.

Awesome! We were going to HS that day. I will let bell services know where we need the luggage to go. Thanks!

How do you tip the bell services people if you are in the parks? We are considering doing a split stay and any tips are appreciated.

You have to actually drop off your bags to bell services at the resort your departing and then physically pick them up at the new resort (or have them delivered when your in the room) so I hand them a tip. They can't deliver them to your room until / unless your in it (unlike the DME luggage delivery feature).
