We will be a party of three for a few days at Old Key West, and then move to Bay Lake Tower to become a party of 11.

We were planning to send our luggage via bell services while we head off to do a massive shop. We won't have a large car, however. Would bell services move a couple cases of water too?

Bell services moves everything, including water and food. Frozen food stays frozen, etc. They are great!

Yes they will along with all your other groceries. Not sure if I would give them anything that needed to be refridgerated as who knows how long your stuff would be in transit.

Since we drive now we just bring everything over and check in and if the room isn't ready we leave it with them.

So do you think it would be okay to drive our stuff over first thing and leave it, while we head off to buy even more? :rotfl2:

I am travelling down with our daughter, and we could do a pretty good shop to begin with.

But then my husband arrives, and he wants to do Costco in the morning that we move. The rental car has to be back by noon. And I know that he will want to take his time!

Would bell services even take the stuff the night before?

We always split our trips, a week each at 2 different 2 bedroom villas. Bell services/Guest services - whenever we have used them, have been very accommodating. Even when we first arrive and get in late, and they have to hold our delivered groceries, things are always cold. One piece of advise we have learned, pre-plan with them and call ahead to confirm what you want, usually this will get more favourable response than asking at the time you need the service.

Absolutely; we take things to the new resort's Bell Services in the morning quite often!

I bet they would. If POR would hold our bags during our cruise, even though we weren't staying at POR after the cruise, I bet Bay Lake would keep your stuff the night before you check in.

Due to your use of the word "shop" I'm guessing you are from elsewhere, so I would remind you (or let you know) that Bell Services is a tippable position. Generally $1 to $2 per bag. Hope that helps.

At one point during our recent trip we had upwards of 15 bags (lots of luggage and several shopping bags), so our tip budget was well stocked with ones and fives. :)

Bell Services will literally hold anything for any length of time. We got off the Dream today and while we were gone they stored luggage we didn't want with us, our Owners Lockers and then they delivered that plus groceries and our cruise luggage to our room. Total we had 23 pieces. We even stopped at the grocery store on the way back from Port Canaveral and they stored our cold stuff until our room was ready. Really, really great service!

Oh yes, we always tip.

Not sure about "elsewhere"! Not from Florida, but grew up not far from Seattle!

Just tell them what you have to move and they'll even bring up a second cart if need be. We knew they were going to need 2 dollies right off the bat and said so. And boy did they fill it.... for our whopping family of.... 4. :rolleyes1 If you have refrigerateds or frozens, pack them in separate bags so they can put them into proper storage. They will do that.

Do you ever have concerns of them moving things like laptop computers?

If I just have too much stuff scattered everywhere that would make cleaning really hard for them to do w/o moving too much stuff, I put the "Do not disturb" sign out. For things that I wouldn't want anyone to touch, I'm sure they are put in places mousekeeping won't go. The safe for example, or locked in a suitcase.
