OK I finally booked Coronado for 3 nights and BC for 2 nights.
The Coronado stay includes 5 day hoppers and dining plan. The BC is room only. However, I shouldn't have any issues making FP for the whole 5 days correct? I can make them all at once at my 60 days out?
What about magic bands will they send me two sets? or do I just use the set from my 1st stay for my 2nd stay as well? Will it open my room at BC once I've checked in and have my FP's on it etc?

Anything else about a split stay that I haven't thought of? I think instead of letting Disney move our luggage we are going to Uber over with it and then head into Epoct for a bit. That way as soon as our room is ready we can have access to our luggage and not have to wait for it to arrive from 1st hotel.

I'd just let Disney move your luggage, and go to a park then head to BC after you get your text that your room is ready

Yes, you will get two magic bands and they will work with both resorts. They are linked to MDE and not to each room.

I'm not too sure about fastpasses since they've been changing up how it works a bit. Last I heard, you can only book for the length of your stay. So you won't be able to able to book for the BC half until 60 days out from that first night.

And make sure you use all of your dining credits by midnight on your CSR check-out day. You may want to get a print out of your credits at CSR when you check out, just in case something happens to them when you check into to BC, but it seems that problems happen more when you have a second DDP that would start with the second check-in.

We just got back from a split stay so two months ago, we could do all 8 days’ fast passes at once. We could not do dining though. Had to book that in two.
We packed on our last morning of one resort, called bell services. They moved our luggage, backpacks, and bottled water for us. I didn’t trust the milk and yogurt to move. We did not get our luggage until 7pm that night. We called and called and it took forever so pack what you need and use a locker at the beginning of your park that day. We took the bus to the park and the boat to the new hotel. Very easy.

We denied the second set of magic bands but still got them. The first set worked the whole trip though. No issues with opening new room, etc.

There was a period when the FP+ window was separate for each stay. AFAIK, that is now resolved and you can book all 5 days FP+ at your 60 day window for CSR.
They will send you two sets of MB's. Both sets of MB's will work for your BC stay (in theory, at least - we have had occasional issues with MB's). MB's are linked to your MDE account, so even old bands from previous stays should work.

I have given Disney the luggage in the past. It is easy, but don't expect to necessarily get the luggage until in the evening sometime. If I want quicker access to my 'stuff', I do as you suggest and take an Uber to the next resort, check in and go about my day. The down side of doing this is a slightly delayed start. I just plan an extra hour for getting on the go, with that small delay in mind.

Planning for a split stay makes it so easy, IMO. Some people pack different bags for each resort. We use packing cubes to keep organized. We bring a separate folded duffle for laundry. Except for toiletries (which are in a hanging bag in the sink area), safe contents and a few items that need to be hung, we pretty much have everything easy to grab and go. It only takes 5-10 minutes for me to get everything packed for the next resort. TBH, there is just the two of us so it is easier for us than a family. However, even when we had children travelling with us, we kept organized and found packing up to move relatively easy.

As a PP mentioned, you will have to divide booking ADR's between the 60 day windows for each resort stay. However, with a 3 and 2 day split, you can book the first 4 days with your CSR stay. You will have to wait for the last day of BC and check out day until the 60 window from your BC stay. If you are staying CL, you may have 90 day FP+ available (at a fee, of course).

If you have food items from the first resort, you can bring them with you to the second. Just tell Bell Services about them.

Split stays are wonderful! Any stay that we have longer than 5 days is automatically a split stay for us. We love experiencing the differences and benefits of more than one Disney Resort whenever we visit WDW. Enjoy!!
