split stay/tickets on 2nd half?

Hi! We have already booked a room only for 2 nights at the start of our trip at ASMu, are planning to book 5 more nights at WL. I was planning to get the tickets from an outside location, but was considering putting the tix on the WL res, so I can get dining plan. If I buy 7 day ticket on the WL package, how do I access those park tickets on the first day or two?? Is this possible, and worth considering? I am thinking that the dining plan may be enough less than dining OOP in our situation to be worth it?

There is a sticky at the top of the page on how to get tickets up to two days before your package starts.

I did it last year; first day room only because pin code was blocked out; six night package. Got eight day park hopper passes and picked them up at Guest Relations at the park on the first day.

We just did this back in October and after checking into our resort we headed to DTD to their Guest Services and had them pull the tickets from the second reservation. They then contacted the resort to let them know.

With all that said, when we went to check in with the package they still had tickets attached to my card keys so I made sure they removed them since I already had the tickets.
