split stay - THREE hotels - whos done it?

Hi There -- I hop all the time -- look at my counter !! I like to do it only because we get to try out new resorts and usually that is just they way the deals work out for us.. this trip we will only be at 2 resorts.. I agree with make sure to have your packing in order -- so that maybe you can live out of one suite case for the 1st part then can live in a 2nd for the middle and back to the 1st on for the rest of your trip .. makes life much easier if you can arrange your suitcases ! Have fun and don't worry it will be fun !! Michelle

We did it back in '99 -- 2 nights at ASM, 2 at Poly, and then 2 at PO. We didn't really mind it (it was sort of like a new vacation every time we switched resorts) but I don't think we'd do it again, especially not in such short "bursts". We've done the 2-resort thing since then -- usually a non-DVC for a night or two and then a DVC for the rest of the stay -- and that works out pretty well for us. We get to "sample" all of WDW that way! :teeth:

We enjoy switching resorts. My DD always says she would rather not, but after we do she loves the experience of new surroundings. I think your schedule of 3 resorts is just fine. I also noticed that they are located in different areas of WDW which will be nice. I would do 3 resorts, although the most I've done is 2 at a time. If I had small kids tho, I'm not so sure I'd do it. Their schedules aren't as forgiving as older kids and adults. Have fun!

I'm interested in everyone's replies. I'm doing it on an upcoming 12 night trip (Thanksgiving), and not sure how it will work. Good tip re: packing. DH, MIL, and I are at OKW for 6 nights, then they leave and I'm solo for the rest of the trip. Two nights at non-DVC (those weekend holiday points are too much for me!), then 4 nights at BCV. Haven't decided where I'm going to spend those 2 nights yet. Looking for someplace with good recreation options-don't plan on going to the parks much for those 2 days.
