We did it for our first ever split stay. It was a piece of cake.
Started out with 1 night at AoA.
Left there and checked in to CR for 3 nights.
After that we went to YC for 2 nights.
It worked out very well, even without a car
We arrived in the evening and stayed at AoA #1, to check out the resort and #2, it was cheaper since we weren't spending much time on site that first night. Hated paying for a TPV at CR when we didn't arrive till 8:00 PM.
We asked Bell Services to just hold our bags from ME that night. We had packed all we needed for that night in our carry ons. Instead of them delivering them that night only to pick them up the next morning I just asked if they could keep them. They did and that next morning we had them get our carry ons and deliver them all to CR.
We took the bus to MK, walked to CR to check in, got our room info and headed to the park. Came back and went to the room and all our stuff was there.
Checked out of CR, had bell services take everything to YC for us.
We walked to MK and got a bus to YC, checked in and hit the pool. Got our bags later that day.
We did have a bit of MB issues at YC but a quick scan of the bands at the desk corrected that and linked them to open the door.
I don't unpack even if we stay put for 10 nights so it was no different to us. We are types that live completely out of a suitcase, even adding our dirty clothes back to the suitcase under the clean ones.
ETA - our split stay didn't impact park time at all.
The day we went from AoA to CR we had not planned a rope drop or anything. We were going to activate our AP and purchase TiW card so we just did that after checking in to CR. Then we hit a park.
We planned the day we switched from CR to YC as a day off from parks anyway. It was the day following the 24 hour day at MK. We knew we'd be out late that night so we slept in, checked out of CR and headed to YC, where we'd planned to relax at the pool for the entire day. We didn't need our bags till that night.
