We were unable to get a 2BR villa at BCV for our first night. We have a ressie for a 1BR at BCV and are on a waitlist for the 2BR. This is for Dec 30th so am not too hopeful that the waitlist will come through. Please walk me through check-out/check-in. I am hoping to have Bell Services keep the majority of our luggage so that we only have one bag for our night in the 1BR. We plan on going to DS for rope drop on the 31st. Can I do online check-in for both the 1BR and the 2BR since they are different confirmation numbers? Should we officially check out of the 1BR at 7 am, go to studios, and then wait for a text that our 2BR is ready? Should I leave the family at the studios and return to BCV by 11 am to check out? Kinda worried about that limbo time between really early check-out and check in if we would need room for any reason. Thanks for any advice.:)

I think I would be at the front desk at 6:00am in the morning to check-out/check-in. It doesn't mean you have to be out of your room at that time, you still have to 11:00am. And you will already be checked-in for your 2BR, so you can just leave your bags with bell services with your others and head off to the park.

You may get lucky and your 2BR may be available at that time, which will allow you to get into your new room immediately. If so just leave your bags in your new room. And you may even have time to have bell services deliver the bags they are holding for you.

If your not particular about which 2BR you get, ask the CM if there are any 2BR units available at that time other than the one which was preassigned.

Actually, I don't think this is likely. It would seem that all 2 BR Villas are booked for the night the OP is looking for, or they would be able to book it. The only way a Villa is ready that early in the AM is if it was empty the night before.
OP, I would check out and check in early and leave your bags with Bell Services before you head to the park. You will receive a text when your new room is ready. You can choose to head back and have Bell Services deliver your bags, whenever it fits in your plans. I think it is likely that you will be "homeless" most of the day.
Good Luck

I fully understand that it is extremely unlikely for a 2BR to be available at that time of the morning when there wasn't one available the night before unless there was a last minute cancellation. Nothing ventured, nothing lost!
It is still a wise move to check-out/check-in as early as possible, so that they can get on with their plans for the day, you're going to have to go to the front desk at some time so you might as well get it over with early rather than have to come back from the park as the OP suggested.

Yes, I'd definitely recommend you check with the front desk before 11:00. I had to do a room change at BWV, no BW view available the first night. I even asked when I checked in, but they said no BW room available, so I had to move after 1 night. Surprisingly, the new room was ready at 9:45 am and was right around the corner from the old. So I just moved my luggage from one room to another. Once at HHI, we moved from a studio to the 1 BR right next door, but our room wasn't ready until 3:00, so we had to move everything downstairs, then move back upstairs again. Kind of funny!
