Split Stay Questions?

We , my husband & I, started out with a week long reservation at AKL with deluxe dining & hoppers. Due to a change in plans we had to shortened the trip to 4 nights.

I was wondering if I decided to fly in two days early & stay at either Pop or POR for 2 nights as a room only reservation can I use the tickets that are on the following reservation? Can I upgrade my tickets for 2 extra days or would I need new tickets for that stay?

I think I understand how it works to transfer luggage to the following resort. And how to contact magical express but I can't find information on the tickets.

I'll problary decide not to solo those first 2 days but was checking into how much it would cost if I did.

I believe that once the tickets are added to your MB, you can just use them, even before your hotel reservation.

I have done a few solo trips and found it to be quite fun to do as I please. If you are only there two days, you might also want to only do 1 park day and explore DS and various resorts instead of 2 park days.

You can use the tickets on your package, but there are a few catches. You will have to activate them at Guest Relations. You will not be able to make advance FP+ designations for the days before your package start date until they are activated, so you'll be making same-day/next-day FP for both days.

You would be best off changing your package to a "ticketless package," then making a room-only reservation for those two days, and buying tickets separately and associating them in My Disney Experience. Then, you could do FP+ normally for all days of your stay.

Do you activate the tickets at guest relations at your resort?
I'm not too worried about the FP+. I doubt I'd ride much those 2 days. I'd wait on the rides till the days my hubby is there.
Most likely one day I'd do the world area of Epcot, maybe the candlelight processional that night or the fireworks at MK.
The following day problary DS & maybe AK for a few of the shows. Then check in early at AKL that day.
