Split stay question

I'm planning on splitting a stay between two resorts for my upcoming trip. I will be moving our luggage myself since I'll have access to a rental car that day. I'm wondering what to do with our laptop. We'll probably be going over to the Poly around 9am so I don't expect our room to be ready. Does bell services or the hotel have a secure area to store our laptop? I don't want to keep the laptop with us for the day and I don't want to leave it in the car. Stuffing it into my suitcase doesn't seem like a good idea either...

Any suggestions?

You can check all your luggage with bell services. We often do split stays and we've never had any problems with our laptop or our bags. You'll get a claim check for your items; when you return to go to your room, just present your stub and all your luggage will be brought to you.

Sounds good! Do you usually tell them which bag has the laptop? I don't want mine to get crushed under another suitcase.

I have transfered to Poly with a laptop before and didn't have any problem. I believe the bell service area is safe and that they have had enough experience with laptop cases to treat them with care. I saw my luggage first hand at POR bell services and they had my laptop case on top of my suitcase. They had nothing stacked on top. I am not aware of any company standards but I'm sure they are careful.
