We'll be splitting out stay between AofA and the Poly in a few weeks. How does the following sound for our transfer day?

  1. Check out at AofA
  2. Pack up luggage and drive over to the Poly
  3. Check in at the Poly and leave luggage with bell services
  4. Grab quick breakfast at Captn Cooks
  5. Put parking pass in car
  6. Take monorail over to MK for rope drop

Am I missing anything? I know we will have to get up early to accomplish this, but I don't want to park in the MK lot and have to move the car later in the day.

What time do you think we need to leave AofA to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance!

What time is rope drop at MK that day? I would think you will have to leave very early in the morning to accomplish this. Your breakfast is going to be eaten on the way to MK or do you anticipate sitting down to eat?

If you are using bell services at AofA, then you should allow 30 minutes for that, then 15 minutes to drive over to Poly (stay to the right side of the toll plaza lanes and let them Know you are checking into the Poly so they won't charge you for parking at the TTC). Check in should be quick unless you arrive just behind a DME bus. Bell services may be backed up depending again on the DME situation. Then you need to grab breakfast, and wait on a monorail. If RD is 9am, I suggest you depart AofA at 730 latest.

We've done this and still arrived at DHS by about 8:20 am. This included a trip from WL to BC, check in, drop luggage, a trip BACK to WL lost and found for our forgotten camera bag!! And then I think we drove straight to DHS. We ate at WL as soon as they opened though vs at BC.

In any case, we do this frequently but normally skip breakfast and have no issue arriving well before RD. but we leave the first hotel by 7am and we always have plenty of time.

Bell Services is the outlier, we call them as early as possible.

MK opens at 9AM that day and we're more than okay with eating on the run, so that's not an issue.

Thanks for the input! I'm hoping this works out.

We plan pretty much the same thing and have done similar moves in the past.

Looks good! You can also take the boat to the MK -- if it's approaching the dock when you finish breakfast it may be quicker than the monorail.

:goodvibes
