Split Stay on DDP

Does a split stay affect the cost of the dining plan or park tickets?

If you do a split stay and a magic your way package it does cost more because they make you have at least 1 day ticket on the any part of your trip. So for instance, you know that the more dys you buy the cheaper.. But when we did it last year on the second part of our trip we still had to have a 1 day ticket..

You have to remember WDW doesn't really do "split stays" (like we call them here on the DIS) - they just consider it as having two separate reservations.

So depending on what deal you'll be using (like Free dining maybe?) you'll have to figure out how you'll meet the offer requirements for each one of your reservations.

For example, doing a split stay during Free Dining would require you purchase at least a three night stay and a minimum 2 day MYW ticket on each reservation.

Of course you could always get tickets for the entire length of stay on the first res and save the extra 2 day tickets needed on the second res for a later stay, but my point is just that's something you'll have to consider when you're planning.

We are going to buy an annual pass this year, and be staying on DVC points. We were going to forego the dining package for our October trip but wanted to get it in May.

Does that mean that I can't get the dining package for my second trip of the year?
