I wasn't sure what title to use but I think it says it all. We leave on a Sunday and check into a studio at OKW but don't check into a 2bd at BLT until Wednesday. I have plans to make food ahead of time and freeze it using my food saver. The question is how to keep the food cold and frozen from Sunday to Wednesday until it can go in the freezer/refrigerator at BLT. At our local Publix they sell dry ice so I thought of that. Otherwise I guess I have to use our big cooler and just keep replacing the ice.

Any ideas or anyone have experience with dry ice? If you have done this before, please advise.

Thanks - Diane :)

use the fridge in the room at OKW?

Just crank it up and the whole thing will be a freezer in no time. Just don't forget to run it back to normal before you check out.

Or you can check with bell services at OKW, I know they have a fridge and I believe they have a freezer so maybe just check the bag with the frozen stuff to bell services and have them put it their freezer until it's time to transfer.

At OKW we are staying in a studio so we have a small refrigerator and I really probably need to keep the stuff frozen - but that is a good idea! If I have it all frozen, keep it frozen until we get there, it may NOT unfreeze by the time we leave if kept in the refrigerator and then on Wednesday I just put it back in the cooler with more ice - THANKS!

If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

I've kept ice frozen in a cooler outside for a week with dry ice. we can buy it at our local shop rite.

You just need a good cooler and refill the ice daily. Drain the water the has melted, add more ice from the ice machine, it's a process but if you do it regularly your food will be fine.
