Split Stay - Deluxe Dining then room only - Help!

Hoping for some clarity on this as I've been told different answers. We have a split stay in June at Yacht Club - first resort reservation has deluxe dining then we move to a room only reservation for one night. I've always been told that we can use the dining credits until 11:59pm on the day of check-out, but last night on the phone Guest Services told me that any remaining credits would be forfeited once I check-in to the room only reservations at 3p. I didn't believe this to be true and called back asking again for Guest Services and was told what I initially thought - credits can be used until 11:59pm day of check-out even if moving to a room only reservation. Has anyone had experience with this? Were you able to use your remaining credits after checking out and checking into another Disney resort?

Yes, each and every time and we exclusively do split stays! You are correct and the phone CM was not. You might want to get a printout of your remaining credits at checkout, but it really only gets a bit tricky if you are starting another dining plan with your subsequent reservation, which it sounds like you are not .

I have experience with this and have always been able to use our credits through dinner - haven't tried until 11:59 but definitely until 9pm or so.

We also do this every trip. Unless something has changed very recently you can absolutely use your credits until 11:59pm.

Yes, I did this last in Aug 2017. We were on DDP at SSR and moved to All Star Music for our final night. Used our last credit at 11:50pm (after getting back from AK in the resort gift shop!). That was cutting it a little close lol. A couple of us were on standby to use up the credits if the rest of the group didn't make it back on time lol.

Once you check out of resort #1 though - and check into resort #2, doesnt the new dining credits load? I'm not sure how to get the ones on resort #1 loaded instead of resort #2.

If u don't have a dining plan at resort #2, really nothing u need to do. I checked in to my new resort and had no issues using my dining credits from resort #1.

The dining credits are already on your account, but they do not become active until either 1) you use up the credits from your first stay or 2) the remaining credits from your first stay expire at midnight after checkout from resort #1.

we have the same dining plan at resort #2 that we had at resort #1.
