Split stay and FP+ MB question

We are going this summer and plan to stay offsite for a few days then onsite. We are buying tickets to span the entire time. Will we be able to set FP+ reservations ahead of time for our entire trip or only the second half when we are staying on grounds?

Yes.

(As far as we know. Summer is a long way off.)

I just called reservations to ask some questions. The girl told me that even though I would have a reservation tied to my tickets that could only do FP+ reservations for the days we are staying on grounds. Of course she kept prefacing each statement with "I believe". This would be our main reason for staying on grounds part of the stay. If we can we would just stay at our timeshare the whole time.

We are doing this in two weeks. First 4 days offsite, then moving onsite for 4 days. Just linked our 7 day UT tickets and we are unable to make any FP+ reservations for the first part of the week when we are offsite. It will let me make them for days after we check out though.

Our plan for the two days we will need to make FP+ sections while we are offsite is to hope that the kiosks are open early since we have pre-park opening breakfast ADRs.

switch it and stay onsite first, then you "should" be able to make length of tickets fp ressies... I just asked this very question on chat the other day with a cm and they said as long as you have one night stay you will get Magic Bands, and abiltiy to book fp+ for length of ticket attached, but you can only book your onsite stay 60days ahead, then you have to book the offsite each day from the 60days like the offsite ADR bookings, day by day. BUT it sounds like every CM tells something different so who knows today!
