We are staying the 1st 3 nights at the hilton dtd and the last 3 nights at the POP , I would like to get the DDP for those last days, can I get a 3 night ressie at pop, the dining plan and 6 day hopper tickets and get the tickets BEFORE we check into POP? I've never done a split stay before. Help please!

You can only get the DDP for the nights you are staying in Disney and I think that you need at least the 3 days like you are doing. You can still get the hopper for as long as you want. I would check with your travel agent or AAA to be sure they will know the answer.

The issue I see here is that in order to get the DDP, you have to:
1. stay onsite
2. pay for at least 1 ticket to a DW park

If you already have your park hoppers before you arrive at POP, I don't see how you can get the DDP without repurchasing a 1 day ticket for everyone in your party.

Maybe someone like ROBO can clarify but this is how I understand it.

In order to get the dining plan, you would have to purchase tickets at Pop Century. Unless you are an AP holder or a DVC member staying on points, you have to buy a room/tickets package to add the dining plan. The plan is tied to the nights you stay at the resort, not to your tickets.

You could get the hopper nonexpiring and purchase additional tickets for your 3 days at Pop Century. That would most likely not be cost effective. Nor would purchasing two different tickets for the length of each stay.

You could get your hoppers, and add a one day base ticket for each member of your party on your Pop Century reservation. One day tickets never expire and can be upgraded to multi-day tickets or annual passes in the future.

If you plan on coming back within a year, you can buy an annual pass for one adult member of your party and use that to book an AP room/dining package, if one is available for your dates.

You could switch the two reservations so your Disney resort stay comes first. You would have dining for the three days at WDW and then switch to offsite, and keep the 6 day tickets.

Can you flip it and stay at the POP first? That is what we did with our split stay, and it worked great. :thumbsup2

No you cannot get your tickets early as you will have access to someone elses room
