Split stay and ADR

Is it true that you can't make ADRs for the entire week at disney resort on a split stay? If I'm at BC until Thursday, and AKL check in on Thursday then I can only make reservations until Thursday when the 180 day rolls out and then wait for the 180 mark for the Friday? Is this how it works? Thanks!

That is correct they are considered as 2 seperate reservations so you can make ADRs at 180 days of the first resort plus switch resort day and then you have to wait until 180 days of the second resort to do the rest.

If you are a DVC member, you can book ADR's for both stays at the first 180 day mark.

There was recently someone here that stated that they were able to do it without being a DVC member, but they're the only one's I've ever heard of who could. Maybe it was a glitch with them, or maybe their memory is simply faulty. I don't know.
