Split Stay and Activating Dining Plan

I am planning to do a split stay and start with a one night, room only at Pop and then do a package at Wilderness Lodge with dining plan. If I go ahead and do an online checkin for both resort stays, will I be OK going straight to a park and not stopping by WL on the morning my package starts? Will my dining plan be activated? Can they activate the WL package portion at Pop? I would like to go straight to Epcot that morning instead of going all the way to WL first. Has anyone had luck with not stopping at their second resort first?

Great to know! I keep hearing nightmare stories of dining plan not being activated or charging privileges not working. Would be a pain to have to go to WL first so I am glad you have not had issues! Thanks!

I assume you are a US guest but if you are a UK guest with a UK package you need to go to your second hotel to check in to activate both tickets and dining plan.
Just in case.
