Can anyone confirm for me? We have a 6 night split day (3 and 3) both booked through the same DVC member as a rental.

For ADRs, are we able to book them ALL at the 180 day mark? Or do we have to book the first 3 days at the 180 day mark and then the 2nd set of 3 days at the 183 day mark?
Does that make sense?

Thanks!!

You have to book them each at the 180 day mark for the beginning of each stay, unfortunately.

I had a split stay in October and was able to book all ADR's. We were 3 nights on one and 4 nights on the other. No problem at all.

I've been wondering the same for our split stay in July.

I read somewhere that if you can't do it online, to call the dining reservations # and they should be able to override it.

The phone reps can't override it anymore, since about a year ago.

I had 8 nights then 16 nights and was able to make the full 10 days... This was back in February for August though so maybe it's changed...

Just wanted to update.. I was only able to make ADRs for the first part of the stay. Online and over the phone would not allow me to book the full stay.

I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. They should have an override, or you should be able to connect two stays if they are consecutive.. We are going directly from one dis resort to another..

A split stay is an internet term. It's very difficult to set up a "connection" like that in a robust reservation system online.

For some reason, they managed to figure it out for FP+, but not for ADR's.
FP+ it's not that the reservations are linked, they simply haven't time-bound them to the reservation right now. ADRs are currently locked to length of reservation.

Then what are they bound by? If you have a one night stay, can you make reservations past 60 days for all days on your ticket? That's not how I understand it. Since FP+ allows booking at 60 days plus the length of your reservation up to 14 days, I thought it was still limited by the length of your reservation.

That's just it.

ADRs seem to use "length of on-site reservation" as your length limiter. People say it's check-in + 10, but it's really check-in + length of stay. Variable appears to be pulled from the room reservation.

FP+ does not seem to be pulling length of stay as variable, and seems to be using a set count independent of length of stay. Only variable pulled is check-in date.

So, from an IT perspective, based on people's experiences booking FP+ on split stays vs. ADRs, one of the two systems is pulling two variables from the Resort Reservation system, and the other system is pulling only one and using a pre-defined system count to determine eligible length of booking.

Likely something in the development/business requirements of the two systems, which are separate.

But FP+ has to be using something for an end date. When I had a one night stay, I could only book day 60 and 61 even though I have an AP and a 10-day ticket.
