Hi
Today the legal secretary said all the papers are in and our DVC should close tomorrow. So if that indeed happens, I have been figuring out how many points our stay would be and of course, had a question. I did search the boards first but wasn't able to find the answer to this question.

We purchased 140 points at Boardwalk. We want to travel in 2017:
saturday april 29-friday may 5th + saturday may 6th
or
sunday april 30-saturday may 6th + sunday may 7th

I want to squeeze whatever I can out of our stay so I was wondering, how does it calculate my stay as it has only 1 or 2 days in the higher point Magic Season with the majority in the slightly lower point Dream Season?

I would prefer to go on the 29th or 30th but would consider going on the 1st depending on how the calculation works out. I know it's not many points but at 140, every point matters ;)

Thanks in advance, bristowe

The stay is calculated per night. So any nights in April which is a higher season you would pay that nightly point rate and any nights in May would be the lower point rate.

Great, I appreciate your help! Exciting to see what we can try on the waitlist too but we are more than thrilled with our home resort. THANKS!

I believe you purchased a September use year, so remember that a May 2017 trip is in your 2016 use year.

The calculator at this website is very useful. Just click on the "show points amount" button after you select your dates.

Hi Supersnoop -
Could you please paste in the website with the calculator. I don't see it. I appreciate your help!

FWIW, if you were to book a hotel room for cash that straddled seasons, you would get each day at the season price for that day. Same happens with standard discounts.
