I have a 1 bedroom at Saratoga booked for the second half of our stay and 2 nights at Coronado booked at the beginning. The Saratoga was booked first so our Magic Bands that are on order are hooked to that. Will we need another set of Bands for the first 2 nights at Coronado? Or please tell me we will be able to use the same ones. If we cant not sure how to link the tickets to reserve FP+.
TIA!:confused3

The same MBs will work for both parts of your stay. They're linked to your MDE account which "knows" about both resorts. But don't be surprised if you receive MB for CS too!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the DME help desk. I had them on speed dial and they were invaluable in making sure our account was set up correctly on ADRs, resorts, and FP+. I'd call them while I was in my DME and we got a few things corrected. We had no issues during our recent week stay and boy, those bands were MAGIC pixiedust:

I think you mean MDE (My Disney Experience), not DME. DME is Disney Magical Express, your bus trip from/to MCO.

If you have both resort stays linked in your MDE account, as well as your tickets, then both stays will be listed in order, and accessible for FP+ booking. The MagicBand is just a receiver to allow your MDE info to be read at locations within WDW. So both resort stays in your MDE file will be available on your MagicBands. However, I believe you will receive another set of MagicBands for your CSR stay. In that case, you can use the first set of MBs, or the second set of MBs, or switch them back and forth as you see fit.

When doing split stays with 2 sets of bands, will either set open the room doors?

We are doing a split stay soon and we will have two sets of bands. Both will be linked to our MDE account but will that make the first set of bands work in the door to our 2nd resort open? Or do we need the 2nd set to open the 2nd resort room door?:scared:

If everything is linked to MDE, and if you your tickets are for the full time you'll be on property (meaning that you didn't buy tickets for the first bit of the stay and you're going to add days or upgrade to an AP once you get there), you'll be able to make FP+s for the second part once that booking time comes up. Nothing complicated about it, as long as it's all on MDE.

Oh....wait. SSR is the second part of your stay.

The Saratoga was booked first so our Magic Bands that are on order are hooked to that.

I'm not as 100% sure that the ticket part will be simple.

The MBs, however, will be fine. They'll actually send you two sets, but you don't need to use one or the other at any time. Unless something glitches, they should all work interchangeably.

Unless there's a glitch.

But they are *meant* to work interchangeably. And opening the door is part of it.

The big thing, for some ridiculous reason, is that you need to either BE checked out of the first resort, or be past official checkout time, before checking in to the second resort. If you try to check in to the second resort while still using the first reservation's room (like sending one person over at 7am while the rest of the family gets ready and gets breakfast, etc, still needing that first room), there will be problems.

ANY past MBs linked to your account (even from a year ago) will also work. Nothing is stored on individual bands.
