Split Reservations for 2 different seasons

Has anyone tried to get a split reservation lately? We are going on our vacation (3/26 - 4/2) which hits peak and regular season. We asked our AAA travel agent to book from 3/26 - 3/30 and again from 3/30 - 4/2. She said Disney already took the two prices into account and didn't need to book it that way. Just thought it was interesting, also she wouldn't break out the pricing and show us that we were getting it that way. Oh well, still looking forward to the trip!!

With the new daily pricing I don't think it makes any difference now. And if you booked a package, you won't get a breakdown of costs.

Disney now uses a system that charges you per night at the resort, rather than using the cost of your first night and carrying it through the whole reservation. Unless you're staying at two different resorts, you don't need two reservations anymore. Better for those who check in during peak times, but more expensive for those who check in during value times and stay through peak times. (Also much better for packages, I imagine.)

I don't know why the TA wouldn't show you the per night cost, though. You can always go to the Disney website, type in your dates and resort, and just see how the rack rates adjust during that week. It might give you a sense of how things break down for you.
