Are you talking about Journey to Atlantis, at Sea World? If so, DS says Splash Mountain, because it is faster. I disagree! I think Atlantis was scarier (never mind the backwards drop before the drop!) You definitely get wetter on Atlantis!

I think Splash is worse. But, I got a lot wetter on the Atlantis ride. (Not from the big hill, from a smaller one after.) Overall, Atlantis has a scarier theme. Also, if you are going to IOA, DH said the one on Dudley Do-Right is the scariest of the three.
According to info. I found on-line:
Spalsh= 52 1/2 ft drop at a 45 degree angle
Atlantis= 60 ft. drop
I can't find the angle of the one at Atlantis which could make a difference. If anyone finds it, I'd be curious to know.

Thanks SmallWorld! I did a little googling and found 1 site that mentioned the drop angle to be 55 degrees. It looked like a fan page to SW rides, so I'm not sure if the info is accurate.

Hmmm So I guess, technically, Atlantis is worse. Maybe it's the fact that Splash looks like you are heading into the briar patch that makes it seem worse than Atlantis to me. Whereas on Atlantis, you can see the bottom.

Atlantis has the little thrilling end with the rollercoaster track. That's what took me by surprise. And it's a lot wetter than Splash. But I think Splash is a better drop and overall in the ride. But Dudley and Jurrasic Park are much better with their drops.
