As I mention every time I talk about rumors buzzing on the Internet regarding the Walt Disney World Resorts, they are just that. Rumors. The Walt Disney World Resorts is a large attraction and it becomes subject of many rumors due to speculation, corporate leaks or just want guests want to see happen at the parks and resorts.
The latest rumor I have come across is the changing of the log boats used in the popular warm weather ride, Splash Mountain. It is rumored that the Magic Kingdom Park will be getting new logs sometime between 2010 and 2011. This time the logs will have lap restraints. Could this be true? Will being restrained take away from the free fall feeling you get when you first go over the cliff?
As usual we will just have to wait and see what happens. I will update as more information comes my way.
Recently, the Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure had lap restraints installed into the rides boats. This water attraction has the steepest log flumes in North America and is taller than Splash Mountain.
