Anyone know the lyrics to Splash Mountain's "Movin' Along" song? Try as I might, I can't make some of them out.

Thanks! Jim

The song is titled, "How Do You Do?" from the Walt Disney Classic film Song of the South.

The lyrics from the songs from the film used in the Splash Mountain attraction are somewhat re-written for the attraction.

The following link has the lyrics for the songs in the film-

Then, here are lyrics that someone has transcribed from Splash at Disneyland (similar to WDW)-

Here are the lyrics to the main song....

How do you do?
Mighty pleasant greetin'
How do you do?
Say it when you're meetin'
How do you do?
With every one repeatin'
Pretty good sure as you're born.

What goes up is sure to come down.
A penny lost is a penny found.
How do you do?
And here's a hearty back
A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

How do you do?
Fine. How are you?
How you come on?
Pretty good sure as you're born.

Stop jumpin' around,
You'll run out of breath!
Why don't you sit back
And calm yourself?

You can hurry on now if you must.
We'll do what we like, 'cause...
That suits us.

How do you do?
Mighty pleasant greetin'.
Pretty good sure as you're born.
Pretty good sure as you're born.
How do you do?
Mighty pleasant greetin'
How do you do?
Say it when you're meetin'
How do you do?
With every one repeatin'
Pretty good sure as you're born.
Pretty good sure as you're born.

The weather is good,
The fishin' is fine.
What do we do
With all of our time?

Well we sit and we think
and we wiggle our toes.
That's what you ask us.
That's what we know!

Pretty good sure as you're born.
Pretty good sure as you're born.

How do you do?
Fine. How are you?
How you come on?
Pretty good sure as you're born.
Pretty good sure as you're born.
Pretty good sure as you're born.

More to add in here

Time to be turning around.
Time to be turning around.
Here's lookin' for
A little more adventure.
But he's headed for
A little bit of trouble.
He's headed for
A little bit of danger.

Time to be turning around.
Time to be turning around.
Time to be turning around.

Found it on google. Me and my sister laugh cause we think it sounds like they say 'Pretty good, show us your balls'....sorry if that offends anyone. Just a funny tidbit. :rolleyes1

No,no. Those guys are all wrong. I have ridden it many times and the lyrics are:

That's it. :)

You guys are too funny! Thanks for the replies! I never would have figured out "pretty good sure as you're born!"

Isn't there also a part in there that says something like "might as well move it along?"

For those of us with the Four parks One world cd. Gotta love google to dig up a thread from 5 years ago!

:rotfl2: A person once posted on here that they heard a british lady complaining to a cast member about how inappropriate it was for the animatronics to be saying "pretty good show us your bum" to her and her daughters.

:rotfl2: MY DH always sings along and says that on the ride, I am always telling him to keep in down for crying out loud! :lmao:

Now i have a whole new reason to ride Splash multiple times! I have got to listen to those lyrics!;)

Does anyone have a link to sheet music either for SONG OF THE SOUTH or specifically the MK version? Thanks!

I always thought it sounded like "bone". You can fill in the rest. :rolleyes1

Oh! I love this! But I'm sad, I just tried looking it up on iTunes and I can't find it :(. Anyone know if this song is available for purchase anywhere?

I could see how you would hear it that way considering every scene with Brer Bear is of his behind. My husband goes through the ride saying, "We need more bear butt" in the same tone as the SNL skit, "We need more cowbell".
