Splash Mountain in Cold Weather

I love splash mountain and it's my favorite so there would be no stopping me! We went in December 2001, but it wasn't too chilly. We're going again next December and I will ride Splash mountain no matter what....our last trip was in March 2003 and I couldn't ride it because I was pregnant.

I wouldn't worry about the weather. Go on it and have fun! And this is coming form a person is cold in 80 degree weather. They are pretty good at not shooting you with water if it is cool out. As well, as many people have suggested, wear a poncho. This will solve all your problems! Have a magical trip!

I agree with everyone who has said to ride it anyway and enjoy! Splash Mountain is one of my favorites and I wouldn't miss it! I plan to ride when we go in January even if it's freezing!

A CM told me that they can control how wet people get by controlling the water flow at the drop. During cold weather they can cut down the splash and in very cold weather they can stop any splashes.

I would watch from the side and see how it is going. I would be surprised if you get too wet on this ride under the current weather conditions.

We rode it at an e-night in February a few years ago 3 times in a row. It was about 31 degrees at midnight. We didn't get wet at all. I wondered why. I guess they do cut the water down when it's cold.

We have been on Splash Mountain when it was 30 degrees outside. Not a big deal, we enjoy it as much as when it is warm. We will be thinking of you when we ride SP next week!
