The Splash Mountain thread made me think of a funny experience I had several years ago on the ride.
I was there with my wife for an adults only trip with my wife's family. All her siblings, most of their spouses and her parents went.
There were six of us on the ride, my BIL (about 250 pounds in front), me (about 200 lbs second), my BIL's wife behind me (about 180 lbs), my wife (thankfully only 115 lbs), my SIL (about 150) and my SIL's husband (about 210 lbs) in back.
That's a total of over 1,100 lbs on the ride with 630 lbs in the front. You can imagine what happened when we went down the final drop. Instead of the log careening on top of the water and splashing, it nose dived UNDER the water and totally soaked everyone, especially those of us in the front. Fortunately it was warm that day and it was ok to be wet. Don't do this on a cold day!
