All flights cancelled 6/12. Spirit is giving travel credits, passengers who want a real refund have to call and request it.

I am so sorry for anyone who had travel plans with them! Is it all flights or just some? What on earth could you do if you had a trip to WDW (or anywhere) planned and your airline wouldn't fly?

Bye bye Spirit. Think I'd get my refund and find another airline if I was one of their passengers. I don't see this airline surviving this. JMO

I agree with simzac, I don't know that Spirit will survive this. Unless it's VERY short, only a day or two, but even then who really knows.

And, as far as calling to get a refund, phew, their customer service when things were going well was never better than suspect, I can't imagine even talking to a human today.

I'm sorry for everyone who was affected by this, and hope you can all make alternate plans.

It does sound like the company was finally starting to negotiate. Maybe they finally got the message that the pilots were serious about striking this time.

It's possible that if the company comes to the table for a few days of real negotiation (as opposed to the last 3 years of posturing) they can get a contract hammered out and save the company. I'd give it until say mid-week before calling Spirit done.

Spirit has cancelled flights Sunday in and out of FLL. That's most of their flights.

Spirit claimed they had deals with other airlines to transport passengers. There is no evidence that deal exists.
