I was recently in LGA waiting for a Spirit Flight to Myrtle Beach. We had to wait for the FLL flight to board first as they only have one gate.
When I arrived at the boarding area, there were long boarding lines and crowds and generally unhappy people who could not move. Boarding was in progress but progress was not visible.
About 7-10 minute afte I arrived, i heard them call a SW flight across the way. Immediately people got up in groups (A-B-C) and got on the plane. They actually completed their boarding process while the Spirit Flight that has started earlier was still ongoing.
It was truly amzing to watch.
In all fairness it may have been that FLL has more younger travellers while SW out of LGA was either BAL or CHI and that is more business oriented and may move quicker
