We are looking at trying something different on our next trip. We have decided to book a fantasmic package as on our previous two trips we have never managed to see the show. Is Spirit Of Aloha worth seeing? I am not worried if it is authentic or not as we will probably never get to see an authentic Hawaiin type show. Also has anyone ever celebrated a birthday there? Thank you.

We did the luau in September and we thought the food was very good and the show was cute :thumbsup2. We won't do it every trip, but we will do it again sometime :goodvibes

Depends on when you go. My family enjoyed the show and the food was good too, but, for the price you pay, my DH would rather be inside a restaurant with air conditioning!

It was cute, but nothing to rave about. The food was okay. I am glad I did it once but would not do it again. I thought hoop de doo (sp?) was much more fun (the food though was just okay).

Thanks for your thoughts, looks like it might be one to put on hold until we've seen everything else then?

We thought it was really cheesy (corny storyline and bad acting), especially the first half (the second half is MUCH better, that's when you get to see real dancing).

They celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc. all at once, sort of a big "congratulations to you all" way.

The food was okay, but nothing to rave about IMO.

Personally, I'm glad we experienced it once (and glad we used dining credits instead of actually paying for it) but won't be doing it again anytime soon.

Have to agree with previous posts...liked the fire dancers, but the rest of the show was not interesting enough to keep my dd6 awake -- she actually dozed off at table. Food was okay but nothing special, and the Pele's Fire Punch was AWFUL!!!

It is cheesy acting and story line, but my family loves it. We go every time we're in Disney. I love the dancing at the end and we really like the food. It's fun and different. :thumbsup2

Thank you, has anyone else done this and Hoop DE Doo and if so how do they compare?
