Been to O'Hana-love it. Never been to Spirit of Aloha. We are going to DW in the Fall. I was wondering if the food is just as good as O'Hana's. We would like to try something new but only if it's worth it.

Thanks

Too funny, I just came on this board to ask the same question. We have ADR's for both on the same night b/c I can't decide which to do. Will need to cancel one of course, but very interested to hear what everyone has to say. We too have been to O'hana's and loved it, but haven't been to SOA in like 18 years. What's the word DISers??????

We were just there this week. The food (IMHO) was very good. We had bbq chicken, pork spare ribs, rice, veggies, pineapple, coconut bread and a yummy chocolate dessert. My DD really loved it, too. I heard some smaller children complaining about the kid's meals there (especially the mac and cheese). The show was really fun, too. I am really glad we decided to do it. We had the Disney Dining Experience card so it saved us 20% so for the 3 of us it was only $100.

I'm really glad that you asked this since we are also thinking of doing this. I am wondering... how hot and sticky will we feel doing this at the end of August. It is outdoors, out in the open right? Do they do anything to cool the area where you are eating? TIA :)

Hello,

My family and I went to the Spirit of Aloha show in November of 2005. I had pretty high expectations of it because my grandmother saw it a couple months prior and raved about it. Personally, I thought it was kinda corny and the food wasn't that good. I didn't really enjoy it. The only great thing about the show was the Fire performer. Our waitress was rude and very abrupt, and we never got refills for our dinner even though its "all you can eat".

Also, what I didnt like about it was when you eat its a pre-show, but when they start the main show they dont give you refills, etc. Our waitress just came up to us and basically said "last call". I wasn't done with my first drink, but I knew I would want another one (It is a approximately 2 hour show) and so I got one, by the time I needed it it was watered down.

I would say, try it once just for the experience. We are trying 'Ohana for the first time for our trip in September, and I am sooo excited about it!!
