Hi fellow Disers just wondering what some of your opinions are on the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at the Polynesian Resort?? I know that it's worth 2 table credits and i was just wondering if you thought it was worth it??:confused3

I'd like to know too. I went to the Luau many years back and would love to know how the "new" version is.

We have always enjoyed it. The food has always been good. The show itself is corny in some sections.....but the kids all love the authentic dancers and such. My only advice is not to get there as early as they say....unless you really want the pictures they take. There is no where to sit and they don't let you in until about 30 mins prior to the show.

Not by a long shot, IMO. There have been a LOT of threads on this lately, but I know I never get the search function to work. Wish I could!

We paid OOP, and I would never do it or recommend it. For two TS credits I would definitely advise against it. Go to Hoop Dee Doo! That one ROCKS! It was a highlight of our first trip! Loved it! We went to the Luau, despite bad reviews I had read, thinking it couldn't be *that* bad. It was, and then some. Next trip, this December, we are going back to Hoop Dee Doo. Totally worth it!! We are gifting friends of ours to go with us, so we can share in the fun!

We were there in July and loved it. My kids (10, 7) didn't really follow the story line at all but were totally enthralled with the dancers and costumes. The fire twiller is definately the highlight of the show. The food was good, but the service...you can definately tell which meals the tip is included in and which the servers feel they need to work for.

I think the Luau is my least favorite dinner show. The show is REALLY corny, and follows a cheesy story line. :sad2: The best part of the show is the fire dancer at the end. They should make him the whole show. The food was also pretty good. I'm not sure it is worth 2 TS credits, but I don't think I would do it again.

We loved it! The show is a little on the corny side but our kids really enjoyed it and all of the dancing is fab. The food was some of the best we had on our trip! Very flavorful! Go & enjoy!
