DW made reservations at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. They were kind of hard to get so I assume it is good. So how is it?

I haven't been yet, but am going in Oct. so I have read lots of reviews on it. You will get very mixed reviews. Some people don't like it, but I've read more reviews of people who enjoyed it than didn't.

Thanks!

"See" you in October!;)

Good luck.

We saw the show in July and thought it was great. We all (dh, kids 7,10) really liked the dancers and the costumes but the fire twiller at the end was definately the highlight.:worship: The food was good, the service at our table was...:confused3 I know that not all the servers were as unmotivated as ours because I heard some very jolly sounding ones at the tables on either side of ours. We still enjoyed it, and would recommend it.:thumbsup2

We went last year and loved it. The show was good, the food was better than decent (we thought!) and my 6 year old had a blast!

This question has been asked a lot lately.

We loved it! The food was some of the best we've had at WDW and the show, albeit a little on the corny side, was very entertaining. The dancing is fantastic. I would recommend it. :thumbsup2

:wizard: We had reservations for the luau a couple of weeks ago but we cancelled because of hurricane Fay....I was really disappointed. I'd like to know what those of you have gone recently thought of it.

I am on the fence whether to cancel our ressies. My DH :sulley: just made ressies for La Nouba :cool1: :woohoo: So I am thinking of cancelling the Aloha dinner. I have wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show for years. I am so excited. I just hope by DD4 princess: enjoys the show. I know my FIL and MIL will love it.

Personally, I'd take La Nouba over SoA anytime, and I have been to La Nouba twice. I attended the Luau when it was called that twice, but many years ago. Haven't been there since 2000.
I'd recommend that if you are going with small kids, go to the early seating, and if you are a group of adults and/or have teens, go later. IMO the darkness adds to the ambiance!
:)

Thanks for advice. I think my DD4 would like the tumbling so much better than Aloha. I showed her some pictures and she seemed interested. As much as a 4 year old can when every other question is "how many more days until Disney???" ;)
