We finally booked our flight!:yay:

We got what I am considering a great deal too. $55 each way from Detroit for January 23-30.

I know someone will tell me that if we waited longer we could have got an even better deal but we have been planning this trip since before Christmas and the plane is the last major thing to book and it was wearing on my nerves!:rotfl:

Hey!! We got the same deal for the same dates!! We're leaving Detroit at 8:50 on the 23rd and the leaving Orlando on the 30th at 12:20.

I don't think we'll get a better price. I checked it a lot last year and got $49 each way for around the same time frame, but then my mom decided to join us and her flights were $89 each way. They never got lower than $49 for our dates. And $6 more is no big deal. I just hate that Spirit makes you pay for your luggage seperately. $5/$10 per bag. Feels like they nickle & dime you now.

We just got back few weeks ago and you can only get water on the plane now, for free. They charge for coffee, tea, juice, etc. and they don't take cash.

Our DTW to MCO flight is also 8:50 am but we are taking the last non-stop flight back ... i think 6pm. There are 7 of us going...still have to pick up 2 more seats.
DH and I have flown before but for everyone else it will be a first. Thanks for the info on the drinks, we have 2 kids, DD2 and DS 4...no way will they last without something!:rotfl:

Have you used magic express?...we are using them but are not sure if we need to make a stop at the airport to grab some food for the kids when we get there or if we can tough it out with a few snacks until the resort.

We haven't used ME. I used Mears years & years ago and they operate ME for Disney and I wasn't impressed. For free, I hear it's ok. But we like to stop at a local grocery store for Pepsi (cause Disney only has Coke) snacks, water, beer & stuff so for $85 round trip we use Murray Hill Transportation. Plus we are the only party they are driving so we don't have to worry about stopping at one or two other resorts before ours. We just get to where were going. I don't think I'd like having to wait a few hours to get my luggage either. I like to unpack, have a drink, unwind then head to the parks.

With ME, I think stopping in the airport for something to eat might not be a bad idea. The ride from the airport to most resorts is about 45 minutes and that's if you don't have to wait in line at the airport and if your resort is the first stop.

What resort are you staying at? We haven't booked our resort yet, but I'm hoping for an annual pass discount at the Polynesian.

we are staying at POP...we wanted in your face icon type themeing for the kids...plus we are paying for everyone!
I have my kids so wound up for it already that it is a darn good thing we are talking about WDW because I don't think that there is actually any other place that can live up to all the hype:rotfl2:

We did the Movies in 2006 for the same theming reason too. We had a group of 13 going and the kids loved the in your face theming. They loved everything about disney. But believe it or not, my 4 year old niece loved it because there were 2 beds in the room and she could jump from one to the other!!

I just booked our flights yesterday with Spirit..........5 people from Detroit to MCO non-stop, return, taxes and insurance included for..........$534!!! Yay!!!
