My brother and I decided to give my mom a new mixer for Mother's day - her's crapped out during her christmas cookiefest of 2003...so she needs a new one.

We're getting her a PINK Kitchenaide Mixer...yep, she wants a PINK one! (Sadly - I'll pobably inherite this one day.)

At least she'll giggle every time she uses it! heheh

We always give all the moms and grandmas flowers.

I have no idea. My mother already has everything she wants.

I giving my Mother a charm bracelet with a heart locket charm for each grandchild (3) and great-grandchild (1). On one side, I'm putting a baby pic and the other side is a more current pic. I also bought 2 extra charms for the future (my nephew is in his 20's and we hope he finds the love of his life soon...... he's looking!). I intentionally bought plain heart charms so that we might have a chance for a close match years down the road.

Each child will give her their own charm and then DH & I will give her the bracelet. If she wants an initial engraved on each charm, she can do it before they are put on the bracelet.

We are giving my Mom the movie Guarding Tess (she has been saying she wanted to find it) along with something else that I don't yet. I'm not sure what we are getting my MIL.

We always give the Moms hanging baskets. They seem to like that.

I love the charm bracelet idea. unfortunately, neither Moms are jewelry fans.

We usually buy all 3 hanging baskets....something red for DH's mom, something new/unique for my mom and something classic for his stepmom. For myself (yes I buy my own Mother's Day gift) I buy all my new flowers for outside and 2 baskets that I either buy or make up myself. I started early this year and went Sunday and younger DS decided he didnt like the flowers they sell the kids at school (geraniums) so he's buying me a basket. :rose:

I'll be bringing flowers to my Mom at the cemetery. (This is my Mom's first Mother's Day in heaven.) :(

I'm giving my MIL a Mickey Mouse garden sculpture & some wind chimes. I'll be giving my mother a corsage to wear to church and I don't know what else. My mother's mother passed away so do any of you know what color flowers I'm suppose to order for the corsage (red or white)? I guess I can ask the florist. Thanks!

I will send my Mother a card. Nether she, nor my MIL ever acknowledge me on Mothers day. :(

MIL, that's up to DH. Every single year, we have gone to her house on Mothers Day. Last year, after inviting us, they uninvited us because they received an invitation from dh's brother. After this, and what they did to me on Easter (another story), I will not be going to their house on Mothers Day. I'd rather scrub toilets in a public rest stop.....

Well we usually have brunch with anywhere from 18-25 people. This year I am trying to keep it smaller for my own sanity.

I bought my mom a Burberry purse and already gave it to her. Not sure what we are getting MIL yet.

I'm giving my mom Disney dollars because she and my brother are going for a short WDW trip the weekend after Mother's Day. Unfortunately I can't go with them, though, because of a work obligation. :( :( :(

My Mom, MIL, and Sister all got Yankee Candles. They love them so it is a good gift for them . :)

I was hinting to DH that they make REALLY good gifts! ;) :p :teeth:

OOOHHHH! Yankee Candles are a good idea! I might get my mom some. Thanks!!!

I'm treating my mother to a short trip to WDW. She is selling her house and buying a new one the week before we leave. I think after this is all over she will need a vacation. I am her real estate agent and I know that I need some R & R.

I'm giving my mom a one hour massage at Vero Beach when we are there in a couple of weeks =) She is in Orlando, so her Moms Day lunch will be at the Grand Floridian Cafe the week we get there, where she'll be surprised with the glass slipper dessert. I'm going to make up a certificate for her massage... =)

I won't be giving my mom anything- she has passed away and it is white corsage for church, believe me I know. This is my 16th without her. I am getting a cool one- a trip to Disney World!

Dh may give his mom a lunch out. She can get whatever she needs, but maybe she can value time with her son!

Microcell, I'm so sorry that you have to spend Mother's Day without your Mom. I know my Mom really misses my Grandmother...I do too. Also, thanks for letting me know which color of flower for church.

My mother has a large flower bed in her front yard. My sister and I buy flowers and plant them in it for her each year as she in no longer physically able to do it herself.

Lottery tickets and probably have her for dinner. She loves lottery tickets, has enough clothes, likes flowers well enough, but likes lottery tickets better!
