Yum ! Yes ! Pineapple and bacon

Do the pizza places where you live have it on their menus?no. Doesn't sound good to me.
If it was served at a party or something I would try it, but not really popular around here.
That would get confusing...here at home a "Canadian" is the standard name for pepperoni, bacon and mushroom (sometimes with cheddar cheese). Our family is absolutely in the "FOR" category. (Disclaimer: We are Canadian and will only ever order pineapple on a pizza when it is paired with either Canadian bacon/ham or regular bacon...nothing else.) What I find interesting is that in Canada the combination of ham and pineapple on a pizza is called a Hawaiian, but when we were living in the U.S. (I can't remember which area as we have lived all over) and went to order pizza one time, that same combination was called a "Canadian." I wasn't sure if that was because it was something that Canadians have made popular or if was because of the Canadian bacon used. Either way, it felt a little strange to order a "Canadian" pizza in the U.S. when in Canada we would have used the U.S. "Hawaiian" name.
Come on, give it a try. It's surprisingly good! Sweet and savory!Absolutely not. Rates right up there with such pairings as mustard & ice cream. No, just NO!
This must be "regional", lol. Here in MA we call ham and pineapple pizza Hawaaian for the most part. It can vary a little, I suppose, but if you order Hawaaian, most everyone knows what you're talking about. I've never heard it called "Canadian". Where did you experience this, out of curiosity? (Sorry, I see you said you can't remember.)Our family is absolutely in the "FOR" category.
